CP or otherwise known as CJ (Court Jester) is playing a lonely tune. He has failed miserably as the government spokesman, failed miserably as a loyal supporter of the leadership, failed completely as a politician and is now using delaying tactics to a leader whose political demise is a certainty. It is no using providing a saline drip filled with magic drugs into a decomposing body. To survive most of the political organs need to be removed and allow the healthy tissue to recover and with luck survive.

Technology and especially social media is providing the nation with up to date political news from a variety of sources and in each case the long term prognosis is very poor indeed. Major political surgery is required and having a court jester as the head surgeon is not conducive to political longevity.

Yes MT has had his day and should be out to pasture and allow a new breed to enter the fray. I envisaged JB and KA as potential leaders while others are clamouring for PD and SM. Both unfortunately do not have the people on side due to their smug and separation from the individual in the street.

Change in leadership before the end of the year is what is needed but unfortunately political strategist are more interested in their jobs rather than what is good for the nation. Delaying the inevitable is tantamount to drinking hemlock and taking the government with it.

The court jester needs to step back and reflect for a moment on his credibility and learn to play a different tune. A melody that soothes the anger of the people and brings back harmony to an already divided nation. This government has utterly failed to understand the needs of the people they govern and yet like the Australian emu have their heads in the sand.

There is only one other opportunity for members of the government to meet and decide on the leadership and that is early next year. However that is not to say that a challenge to the leadership cannot take place.

I have stated before that rhetoric alone cannot save a decomposing body no matter how strong the pillars of support are. What is needed is either a massive injection of political euphoria by the rejection of poor body parts and install new organs to bring back to life a body that is suffering from political multi organ failure.  MT must go along with those political organs that have failed him. The Court Jester is one of those organs.

Life as we know it can only be sustained by vigilance and with that vigilance comes responsibility.
