This page is dedicated to Warrie George Mansford. I had asked for permission and received approval from George to publish all his poems onto the website. It is a monumental task which unfortunately is taking its time to get it off the ground.  I had already commenced collecting all of Georges poems, but unfortunately cancer became a companion for a while and the project was put aside.  However, I am beginning to put one by one the poems in some form of order as a tribute to a man who has done so much for a number of generations, influencing the young men and women what leadership is all about.

As always, there are far better men and women whose skills, knowledge and experience eclipse those of mine and readers will have to forgive my writing style and expression for I write from life experiences with a dash of Aussie Greek emotion and jocularity thrown in for good measure.  There will be many poems which I will have missed over the years and I would appreciate if readers send them to me if they do not appear on the list.  Please give me time to add them as they all follow the same structure and pattern for downloading purposes.

I am hoping that Warrie George Mansfords poetry will send a message to those serving that leadership does not come easy and that with it comes the responsibility that is so often lacking in our political representatives. I don’t say this lightly because like George, I have the same attitude towards those who take our men and women in uniform for granted and use them as tools to be manipulated and forgotten once their duty is done.  Harsh words they may be but there is a ring of truth in them and I for one am not known for pulling my punches but call a spade a spade.

The poems shown below are a dedication to a man who has given his all to a country we all call home. AUSTRALIA.
