Is Sean Armistead against Free speech

Abalinx Social Media

Abalinx 28 March 2018 Peter Adamis

At Abalinx we received a number of complaints regarding subscribers. Amongst the 37 out of 9736 subscribers, Sean Armistead submitted an interesting message directed at the President of the Liberal party of Victoria, Michael Kroger and State Director, Nick Demiris with a carbon Copy to Abalinx and Associates using my email address. He has made a complaint against me personally I have the right of reply. He should in my opinion conduct his own research and not rely on the misinformation that he has been provided by “cake whisperers” and others of his ilk. If Sean Armistead does not like what is posted on Abalinx and associates website, he should remove himself using the unsubscribe button.  His details would have been harvested as a result of his campaign in Frankston and/or through other emails that he sent out to numerous Liberal party members. I have no problem receiving email correspondence, as I receive hundreds of messages every day from around the world. But this is not about me but to the member who made the complaint. To me, I have seen the likes of Sean Armistead’s come and go over the years and are nothing but all hot wind. They prance around like a rooster looking left and right and wondering whether anyone is looking at him. Get a life is what I say and remember that if you want to aspire to be a political representative, take a leaf out the following good performers, Matthew Guy, Bruce Atkinson, Inga Peulich, James Patterson, Bernie Finn just to name a few. They are stalwarts of the party and don’t go around bitching and moaning because some-one has an opinion.

I find it ironic that this chap called Sean Armistead makes a complaint against free expression at a time when he is sending messages to others regarding his political aspirations. This is the same chap who tried to take the credit for the hard work put in by Geoff Shaw I Frankston. According to the Herald/Sun Geoff Shaw said that: “For someone (Sean Armistead) to come along, and wrongfully claim that he was responsible for improvements that I, and my team, worked very hard to achieve is completely unethical,” he said. Whether one likes Geoff Shaw or Sean Armistead is immaterial, what is important to note is that Sean Armistead is calling the kettle black. My message to him is not to throwing stones at glass houses as some stones just may bounce back in return.

As for his complaint regarding his email details. The response to his complaint is published below. This organisation called Abalinx and associates has been working quietly behind the scenes, mentoring and supporting people without any acknowledgement or payment. Many are political figures, industry leaders, business folk, community elders, lawyers, Barristers, retired military personnel, retired political figures just to name a few. They wish to remain anonymous and prefer to remain in the background. Most if not all of these members who form part of the volunteer base are retired and wish to be part of like-minded individuals who want nothing better than to assist the next generation. I doubt that Sean Armistead’s name will appear in our list of volunteers because he is far too busy big noting himself and parading in front of his admirers.

As for me masquerading as a Journalist, I must thank Sean Armistead for his compliment. I guess it is better to masquerade as a journalist with my poor understanding of the English language and the savagery of grammar to boot. Yes I have been registered as a Freelance Journalist which lapsed when I was diagnosed with cancer some two and half years ago, but who cares, I don’t. I am who I am Sean, just an ordinary bloke who has been blessed with many good friends who have supported, managed and mentored me throughout the past 60 years.  In fact today is my Birthday and I have reached the ripe old age of 68. Not a bad innings for a young lad who was born in a stable on the dirt floor in a tiny village. A village known for its fame as the home of Helen of Troy and her husband Menelaus Master of the War Cry. But this means nothing to Sean, because his head is in the clouds.

I question his motives regarding his complaint. Is it because his political fortunes are flagging and needs to kick a few disadvantaged members who are expressing themselves against the tyranny of injustice. After all Sean Armistead is the one who is supposed to be fighting for the little Aussie battle, the underdog and all those with a disadvantaged upbringing.  In his own words, “My motivation and professional career since graduating from university has been about helping some of the most disadvantaged people in our communities.”  I am at a loss for words and to be honest, what is the point in the end. No one wins at all. His complaint is not about the disadvantaged, not about privacy, nor about policy, but rather to grandstand and puff himself up like a toad so that others can see he is master of his own little pond. I could go and on about his quotes but again what is the point. Freedom of expression is here to stay.  If Sean Armistead wants an investigation, then lets us start with Ian Quick who has distributed numerous emails to party members, or those on a previous Administrative Committee who failed to do their job and allowed Damien Mantach to steal the enormous amount from Liberal Party funds.

My advice to young Sean Armistead and his band of warriors is to look through the foliage to see what is on the other side. You may find that I am not full of iniquity but rather filled with caramel and all other goodies. So, Sean, pull your head in and learn to understand that freedom of expression is here to stay.  Having said the above, I wish to apologise to all the purists out there, for my Neanderthal approach to a cultured man like Sean Armistead. A man who is so high up in the clouds that mere mortals like I fear to tread.

As always, I leave readers with those that are following the political landscape, I do hope that everyone supports Mathew Guy to win Government and that can only happy if everyone gets behind the President Michael Kroger and his team. This is one time where we as Liberals deserve to have our cake and eat it. As for the complaint and its contents, readers will find it when the download the full article indicated above.  Have a nice day.

Post Script.  I have written a number of political article on various subjects and other matters. Since that time I have received a number of abusive telephone calls at home and on my mobile. Furthermore please note that all my calls are monitored due to inappropriate behaviour. I have also received unwarranted and inappropriate threatening emails.  As I take such matters to heart, I would like to point out that I have no malice towards any individual or towards Sean Armistead. In fact I admire anyone who stands up or what they believe in.  I am the same and will do what is right in the eyes of our society. If Sean Armistead or anyone else is aggrieved by my comments, then an apology is in order on my part.

I will go even further and apologise to all and sundry if my posts have offended or upset my very dear friends, mates, ex-military, retired cobbers political, military, community and all those I have met throughout life.  But having apologised does not mean that we do not have our political differences and I don’t expect us as individuals to see eye to eye on many things apart from wanting as in my case Liberal Governments in power. My disagreements if any with individuals such as Sean Armistead are never personal.

If those who read what I have written, please be assured that it was not my intention and I am sorry if people have taken it the wrong way. I have explained in another post what has occurred to my database and in my own manner of speaking I hoped that it would make matters clearer. If not then I am sorry if readers have taken my posts the wrong way. I welcome as always constructive criticism to mattes which readers may feel need further clarification and I will endeavour to correct it. It may also mean that I may have to add a postscript to any article that I write in order that others understand that what is being written is not personal at all.  Thank you to everyone for their kind support and understanding. Peter Adamis.
