Melbourne taxi driver viciously bashed

Taxi attackerninemsn staff and AAP  June 2, 2014.    June 02, 2014: Victoria police are hunting a man seen on CCTV camera wearing an Essendon football club jumper who attacked a taxi just after 1am on Sunday morning.   Police are hunting for a man who kicked and bashed a taxi driver unconscious in an unprovoked attack in Melbourne yesterday.    The driver was filling his taxi at a petrol station in Spotswood when the man, wearing an Essendon AFL jersey, began kicking the car and striking it with a windscreen cleaner in the early hours of Sunday morning.
When the taxi driver challenged the man he knocked the driver to the ground, kicked him.  in the head and continued assaulting him until he was unconscious.  The offender continued to damage the taxi, then fled.  The taxi driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.  Police have described the suspect as Caucasian appearance, bald and aged in his 30s or 40s.
