A battle for the hearts and minds of Victorian Liberals is being waged at the moment. The battles are fought and won at the Federal Electorate Annual General Meetings. Intimidation, threats of violence, blackmail, power struggles and egos appear to be the weapons being used to obtain outcomes that are considered desirable by those currently at the helm.
It is not looking good at all for Victorian Liberals. Not at all. All factions are realigning, seeking safe havens and political muscle in their attempts to evade the political inquisition that is currently ravaging the ranks. It is worse than an ancient Greek tragedy that would have ended in slaughter and bloodshed of the innocents. Today a tragedy of majestic proportions is being played out in the Victorian Liberal Party of Victoria.
The current President Robert Clark has a difficult role to fulfil. Hounded and pursued by a sides, he is finding it difficult to please everyone and whoever his minders or mentors are, they need to chill out and reflect upon their advice. He is now realizing the enormity of the role and I would hazard a guess that he has regretted stepping into the arena where only trained gladiators can survive.
A good bloke, who unfortunately does not have the charisma and leadership of his predecessor, Michael Kroger. Being a politician is one thing, a leader, organizer and political gladiator is another. I honestly feel a certain sadness for Robert Clark because he is surrounded by wannabe elements, power brokers, sycophants, political misandrists, miscreants and purveyors of disloyalty.
As we speak, individuals are being selectively targeted and politically cleansed of their alleged past affiliations and alliances. The aim of the inquisition is to cleanse the membership base of all alleged recalcitrant members who were recruited and or attracted into the Victorian Liberal Party. The names Hxxxxxxxxx, Quick and Oxxxxxx keep cropping up time and time again. It makes one wonder whether they are the political “High Priests”, the “inquisition, the “Young Turks” or the “Pol Pots” doing the work of their faceless masters.
Their rise to power is not without blemish. They represent the “minions” of disloyal political wannabees who use their keyboards, gender identities, sexual preferences, secret agendas, egos, fantasies and non-religious beliefs to character assassinate others. Prior to the election I held to account all of the above mentioned in code that only they knew I was referring to them. I hold them responsible and accountable for the undermining of the past President, Michael Kroger and the past Leader of the Opposition, Matthew Guy.
The current Administrative Committee is running on vapours and lack the political engine thrust to drive the Liberal Party forward. They are certainly not abiding by the values that made Victorians the envy of other State Liberal Divisions. It is therefore using its minions to manipulate and control the remaining membership and shore up its survival at the coming State Council. Well I have news for them. Not one of them will achieve the greatness they seek for even their own supporters will come to realize the long term damage they have caused.
The time for sadness, tears and grief is over and as such Liberals within the Victorian Division must put aside their personal agendas and do what is in the best interests of the Liberal Party. If cooler heads do not prevail then I fear for the worst. There is no room for egos in this game we refer to as politics. None at all. If you are seeking office, then do so on merit and not on favours, wealth and alliances.
Representing the people was once an honourable profession, but today we see an increase in sexual deviants, affairs, corruption, egotism, nepotism, promiscuous behaviour and disloyalties. The Young Liberals are fed up with being used, manipulated and abused. They have witnessed firsthand at the savagery against the new generation who brought about change and the treatment for their innovative practices.
I personally look forward to the next generation who will take the Liberal Party by storm and win government. Therefore in closing, if the Liberals are to win at all in Victoria, they need to take a long hard look at themselves and return to the values of the Menzies and Bolte years.
