About Abalinx. Abalinx is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life through social media. Based on a robust social media network, our team of skilled professionals provides valuable information on Mature Age Career Services and Occupational Environmental Health & Safety. We also offer free online support forums. Abalinx was officially registered on March 8, 2004, and went live on March 28, 2004.
Origins. The concept of Abalinx originated from Peter Adamis in 1998, with plans to launch the platform the same year. However, unforeseen circumstances delayed its development until additional resources were identified. In 2000, Peter Adamis discussed the initiative with his friend Maurice Barwick, leading to a renewed commitment to the project. By 2002, plans were underway to create an ex-service military website along with training and a social media network. The domain name Abalinx, representing Adamis, Barwick and Associates, was registered in 2004, culminating in the website’s launch later that month.
